Guwahati Police Issue Traffic Advisory Ahead of PM Modi’s Visit

The Guwahati Metropolitan Police on Friday issued a traffic advisory ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Guwahati on Saturday afternoon.

Police advised commuters to avoid Pan Bazaar and Fancy Bazaar, while heavy vehicle entry into the city will remain restricted. With around 1.2 lakh people expected at the airport inauguration programme, air passengers were asked to reach early and event attendees to carry minimal belongings.

Alternative routes were suggested for River Front, Lokhra, and Boragaon, designated parking areas were notified, and entry to the venue will be allowed only with valid passes. Police urged public cooperation to ensure smooth traffic movement and security.
