AGP Suffers Setback in Dhubri as Key District Leader Resigns

Amid preparations for the upcoming Assam Assembly elections, Asom Gana Parishad faced a setback in Dhubri district with the resignation of Amitabh Acharyya alias Sajal. The AGP’s Dhubri district finance secretary stepped down from his post, quit the party’s primary membership, and also resigned as vice president of the Dhubri LAC committee. He has not disclosed his future political plans. Earlier this month, senior AGP leader Ashok Kumar Roy Pradhani of Golakganj LAC also resigned, submitting his letter to party president Atul Bora.
