Assam Police Personnel Receive DGP’s Commendation Medals for 2025

A total of 514 personnel from Assam Police and allied organisations have been honoured with the DGP’s Commendation Medals for 2025 for outstanding service. This includes 49 Gold medals and 453 Silver medals, while 12 personnel from the Indian Army, CRPF and Assam Rifles also received Silver medals.

Among the Gold awardees are senior officers including Munna Prasad Gupta, Hiren Ch. Nath (retd), Surendra Kumar, Akhilesh Kumar Singh, Guwahati Police Commissioner Partha Sarathi Mahanta, Joint CP Ankur Jain and Dr Rosie Kalita. The Silver medals were awarded to several officers, including Dr Sadeque Ali Ahmed and Jayanta Sarathi Borah, recognising exemplary performance across services.
