FIFA World Cup Trophy to Make Historic Debut in Guwahati on January 13

Guwahati will host the FIFA World Cup Trophy on January 13, marking its first-ever visit to the Northeast and its return to India after more than 12 years. The exhibition is part of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour ahead of the 2026 World Cup, with Guwahati chosen as India’s first stop.

The Trophy will arrive on January 13 and be unveiled by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at Barsapara Stadium in the evening. The event, organised by FIFA and The Coca-Cola Company, will feature cultural and musical performances and free public entry. Officials described the visit as a landmark moment for Assam and the region.
