Cotton University Centre Selected for Prestigious India–Japan LOTUS Fellowship

The Centre for Clouds and Climate Change Research at Cotton University has been selected for the India–Japan Circulation of Talented Youths in Science (LOTUS) Programme 2025, awarded by the Japan Science and Technology Agency. The selection places Cotton University among a small group of globally chosen institutions under Japan’s Sakura Science framework.

Under the fellowship, doctoral and postdoctoral researchers will undertake collaborative research in leading Japanese universities for up to one year, with full support for living and research expenses. The university said the recognition highlights its growing international research profile, particularly in climate and environmental sciences.
