Guwahati Sees 38% Drop in Crime Since 2023: Police

The Guwahati Police Commissionerate has reported a significant decline in crime across the city, with overall cases falling by about 38 per cent since 2023. Official data shows registered cases dropped from 9,393 in 2023 to 7,412 in 2024, and further to 5,786 in 2025, indicating a consistent improvement in the city’s safety over the past three years.
