NEP 2020 to Make Higher Education More Student-Centric: Ranoj Pegu

Assam Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu on Friday described the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 as a historic reform aimed at making higher education more flexible, multidisciplinary and skill-oriented. Addressing an academic meeting at Gauhati University, he said the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme and Five-Year Integrated Masters Programme would create new opportunities in research, innovation and skill development.
The meeting discussed the implementation of the new programmes, academic restructuring and institutional preparedness under NEP 2020. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta highlighted the role of technology and coordinated efforts between the university and affiliated colleges for effective implementation of the policy.
