World Bank Approves USD 680 Million for Three Key Projects in Assam

The World Bank has approved loans worth USD 680 million for three development projects in Assam. The funding includes USD 350 million for building climate-resilient hill roads to improve connectivity in tribal and rural areas, USD 250 million for enhancing school education and adolescent wellbeing for over 4 million students, and USD 80 million to strengthen governance and service delivery. All three projects have a repayment period of 16 years, including a three-year grace period.
