Cachar Police Promote Road Safety with Roses and Helmets in Silchar

Cachar Police on Friday adopted an awareness-based approach to road safety at Sadarghat in Silchar during National Road Safety Month. Motorists following traffic rules were given roses, while two-wheeler riders without helmets were provided helmets instead of being fined.
Senior Superintendent of Police Partha Protim Das said the initiative aimed to change mindsets and encourage personal responsibility rather than fear of punishment. Similar awareness drives will be held across the district to reduce road accident fatalities.
