Amit Shah to Visit Assam on January 30, Lay Foundation of Second Assembly Complex

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Assam on January 30, a month after his last trip, State Minister Pijush Hazarika said. During the visit, Shah will lay the foundation stone of Assam’s second Legislative Assembly complex in Dibrugarh and inaugurate 14 ponds and reservoirs for flood mitigation. The visit is significant as Dibrugarh has been declared Assam’s second capital. Shah is also expected to address a public meeting and inaugurate the flood mitigation projects across several districts.
