APCC Receives 750 Ticket Applications Ahead of Assembly Polls

The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee has received around 750 applications for party tickets across all 126 Assembly constituencies, APCC treasurer Hema Hari Pegu said. The application deadline has been extended to January 28 due to strong response. Dhing recorded the highest number of applications, while several constituencies saw minimal entries. Pegu said interest from Upper Assam remains strong and noted a significant rise in participation by women and young aspirants, reflecting growing organisational mobilisation ahead of the elections.
