Court Reserves Order on Bail Pleas in Zubeen Garg Death Case

A District and Sessions Judge’s court on Thursday concluded hearings on the bail applications of three accused in the Zubeen Garg death case and reserved its order for January 30. Arguments were heard for Amritprava Mahanta, Paresh Baishya and Nandeshwar Bora, while bail pleas of the remaining two accused were withdrawn.

The prosecution opposed bail for the three accused. Family members of the deceased were present in court and expressed satisfaction over the proceedings. Meanwhile, related proceedings have begun in Singapore, where a coroner’s court is examining the circumstances of Garg’s death.
