Ambulance Accident on NH-31 in Bongaigaon, Three Injured

A high-speed ambulance met with a serious accident early Thursday morning on National Highway 31 at Chaprakata in Bongaigaon district after losing control. The vehicle was carrying the body of Jeleka Begum from Kolkata to Barpeta.

Three occupants of the ambulance were seriously injured and were shifted to Bongaigaon Civil Hospital. The body remained trapped in the vehicle for some time before police and locals reached the spot and arranged to hand it over to the family.
