Journalists Protest Toll Collection at Rangamati Gate in Golaghat

Journalists in Golaghat district expressed anger after a vehicle carrying newspapers was forced to pay toll tax at the Rangamati toll gate in Dergaon. The toll was collected both while entering and returning, despite objections from media persons.

After the issue was taken up with the district administration, the vehicle was allowed to pass. Media representatives have now urged the District Commissioner to clarify rules and take appropriate action on toll collection for journalists.
