Gogoi Targets Assam CM, Rejects Court Battle Amid Political Tensions

Political tensions in Assam escalated as APCC chief Gaurav Gogoi hit back at Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma a day after a court restrained Congress leaders from making fresh remarks against the CM. Gogoi said he prefers to “fight on the streets, not in the court,” accusing Sarma of political insecurity.

Speaking during the Samay Paribartan Yatra in Biswanath, Gogoi alleged misuse of legal action and police bias against the opposition. He said the Congress would rely on public support, asserting that the people of Assam would deliver the final verdict.
