Priyanka Gandhi Arrives in Assam for Congress Poll Screening Meetings

Congress screening committee chairperson and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi arrived in Assam on a two-day visit to oversee the party’s election screening process. She will hold meetings with Block Congress leaders, frontal organisations and party workers.

Priyanka Gandhi will offer prayers at Kamakhya Temple before attending screening meetings at Rajiv Bhawan. APCC president Gaurav Gogoi said the screening process is nearing completion and the first list of Congress candidates is likely by the end of February. He added that Congress is ahead in poll preparations and will form alliances with like-minded opposition parties.
