Cachar Declared No-Fly Zone Ahead of Amit Shah’s Visit

Ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Cachar on February 19–20, the district administration has imposed a complete ban on drones and RPAS across the district. The no-fly order, issued after a security review, prohibits all private and commercial drone operations unless prior written clearance is obtained. Violations will invite legal action under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Shah will visit BSF border outposts, launch the Vibrant Villages Programme-II, address a BJP rally in Silchar, and later attend events in Guwahati and Tripura during his Assam tour.
