Assam Nominates Five New Members to State Minorities Commission

The Assam government has notified the nomination of five new members to the Assam State Commission for Minorities for a three-year term. The appointed members are Jaspal Singh, Sanjay Toppo, Osman Gani, Biswabaran Barua and Dhanindra Surana. Earlier, Tabibar Rahman was appointed Chairperson of the Commission for a similar term. The appointments aim to strengthen the Commission’s role in safeguarding minority welfare in the state.
