Assam Plans Fully Residential Campuses for Colleges and Universities

The Assam government is considering a phased move to make all colleges and universities fully residential with 100% hostel facilities, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said in Dibrugarh. He stressed that residential campuses reduce distractions and improve academic outcomes. Pegu also said focus should shift from NAAC grades to student placements and entrepreneurship, urging institutions to strengthen skill-based training.
