Zubeen Garg Statue Unveiled at Sonapur

A 10-foot statue of renowned Assamese artiste Zubeen Garg was unveiled at Sonapur by Padma Shri awardee Pakhila Lekthepi. Installed at the Sonapur Xahitya Xabha Bhawan, the initiative was supported by Star Cement under CSR. The ceremony featured a choral rendition of “Mayabini,” plantation of a Nahor sapling, and a memorial meet honouring Garg’s lasting contribution to Assamese culture.
