ASSEB Allows HS First Year Students to Reappear in 2026 Exam

The Assam State School Education Board has allowed students registered for the 2024–25 academic session who either missed or failed the HS First Year Examination 2025 to reappear in the 2026 examination under certain conditions.

Eligible students must regularly attend HS First Year classes during the 2025–26 session and appear in all internal exams, including unit tests and half-yearly exams.

The board also stated that students must follow the new subject combination rules issued on April 24, 2025. Schools have been asked to submit details of eligible students so their registration numbers can be updated in the examination portal.
