IMD Forecasts Mostly Dry Weather in Assam, Rain Likely Later This Week

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted mostly dry weather across Assam over the next few days, with rainfall activity likely to increase later in the week.

According to the IMD’s Regional Meteorological Centre Guwahati, March 6 will remain largely dry with no major change in temperatures. On March 7, isolated areas may receive light rain, though most regions will stay dry.

From March 8 onward, light rainfall and thunderstorms with lightning may occur at isolated places. By March 9, rainfall is expected at several locations, with maximum temperatures likely to drop by 3–5°C.

On March 10, some areas may see light to moderate rain and cloudy skies. In Guwahati, partly cloudy skies with haze are expected, with temperatures around 32°C maximum and 17°C minimum.
