Three Candidates from Assam Clear UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025

Three candidates from Assam — Abhigyan Khaund (AIR 187), Abhigyan Jyoti Bora (AIR 570), and Bhaswata Saikia (AIR 777) — have cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025.

Bora, a doctor from Jorhat, said patience and hard work are more important than intelligence to succeed in the exam. He added that his experience working as a rural doctor inspired him to pursue administrative services to address systemic issues. Bora cleared the exam in his second attempt.

This year, nine candidates from Northeast India qualified, including six from Manipur.

The examination, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission, recommended 958 candidates for appointment to various civil services. Anuj Agnihotri secured the first rank, followed by Rajeshwari Suve M and Akansh Dhull.
