Raijor Dal Accuses Congress of Undermining Alliance Talks in Assam

The Raijor Dal has accused the Indian National Congress of informally breaking alliance negotiations four times ahead of the Assam Assembly elections.
Raijor Dal leader Bhasko D Saikia claimed Congress announced candidates in Barholla, Dimow, Dispur and Margherita while seat-sharing talks were still ongoing. He also alleged that Congress projected Jayanta Khaund as its candidate from Ranganadi despite earlier discussions that the seat would go to Raijor Dal.
Meanwhile, Gaurav Gogoi announced a “pause” in alliance talks. Raijor Dal has urged Congress to resume discussions urgently to finalise a seat-sharing agreement for opposition unity.
