Pradyut Bordoloi Resigns from Congress Amid BJP Switch Speculation

Senior Congress leader and Nagaon MP Pradyut Bordoloi resigned from the party, citing dissatisfaction and feeling “stifled.” In his letter to AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, he stepped down from all positions and primary membership with “sadness.”

His exit follows internal disputes over candidate selection in Lahorighat and comes just before the BJP’s candidate announcement. The move has sparked speculation of his possible shift to the BJP, especially after Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma indicated the party is open to accommodating him in the Assembly elections.
