Congress–Raijor Dal Alliance Finalised for Assam Polls

The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) and Raijor Dal have finalised an alliance for the upcoming Assembly elections. Raijor Dal will contest 11 seats, while Goalpara East and Gauripur are set for friendly contests.

APCC chief Gaurav Gogoi said the alliance reflects lessons from 2021 and aims to unite opposition forces for inclusive development. He added that Left parties and other groups are also part of a broader understanding.

Raijor Dal chief Akhil Gogoi confirmed the agreement after multiple rounds of talks, despite earlier differences over seat-sharing.

The alliance signals a united opposition front ahead of the elections.
