Pradyut Bordoloi Joins BJP, Cites Neglect and Loss of Dignity in Congress

Former MP Pradyut Bordoloi said he left Congress due to continued neglect, sidelining, and lack of respect within the party.

He claimed his dissatisfaction began after the 2022 Congress presidential polls and worsened with being removed from key roles and ignored by leadership. A “life-threatening attack” during the 2025 panchayat polls, and the party’s response, became the final trigger for his resignation.

Bordoloi said he joined the BJP to work with “dignity and purpose,” adding he felt welcomed by the party leadership.
