Grenade Attack on Police Camp in Tinsukia Injures Four Commandos

A late-night attack at a police commando camp in Jagun, Tinsukia district, left four Assam Police personnel injured around 2 am on Sunday.

Unidentified attackers reportedly hurled multiple grenades and opened fire, leading to a 30–45 minute gunfight. Security forces retaliated immediately.

The injured—Chitranjan Mili, Debashis Bora, Ravi Garh, and Jambuch Marak—are undergoing treatment.

No group has officially claimed responsibility, though suspicion points to ULFA (Independent). The incident has raised fresh concerns over security in Upper Assam.
