Baksa Jail Personnel Critically Injured in Gunshot Incident, Probe On

A police personnel, Gunojit Baishya, sustained a critical gunshot injury inside Baksa district jail and is currently undergoing treatment at AIIMS Guwahati.

Initial reports suggest a possible suicide attempt with his service weapon, though accidental firing or other factors have not been ruled out. Family members and locals expressed shock, stating he showed no signs of distress.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident.
