Minor Escapes Alleged Trafficking Attempt in Sivasagar

A 15-year-old girl narrowly escaped an alleged human trafficking attempt on Friday evening in Sivasagar under the Gaurisagar police station area.

According to reports, the girl was abducted from the Dikhowmukh river embankment by two unidentified youths in a black car, who allegedly sprayed anaesthetic on her face. She managed to escape when the vehicle stopped on a bridge near Gaurisagar, as the suspects stepped out.

The girl safely returned home and later informed that three other adolescent girls were also inside the vehicle. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
