Over 2,000 Inspections Conducted Amid LPG Crisis, Action Against 18 Distributors

Oil marketing companies, including Indian Oil Corporation, have conducted over 2,000 inspections in response to reports of LPG malpractices in Assam, with action initiated against 18 distributors.
Authorities carried out surprise checks to curb black marketing and hoarding following complaints from customers and social media reports.
Despite concerns, officials stated that LPG supply remains stable and adequate, with around 1 lakh cylinders delivered daily in Assam and normal supply levels maintained nationwide.
Customers have been advised to use digital booking methods and avoid panic buying, while deliveries are being verified through OTP-based authentication to ensure proper distribution.
