Sonowal Backs NDA in Tihu Rally, Predicts Big Win in Assam Polls

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal campaigned in Tihu for Chandramohan Patowary, expressing strong confidence in the NDA’s victory in the April 9 Assam Assembly elections.

Addressing a rally, Sonowal praised Patowary’s leadership and urged voters to support a government focused on development and stability. He highlighted the NDA’s governance since 2016, claiming it has reduced corruption and accelerated growth.

Targeting the Indian National Congress, Sonowal alleged that illegal immigration increased during its rule and reiterated the government’s plan to reclaim encroached land.

Confident of a sweeping mandate, he said the NDA alliance—including BJP, AGP and BPF—is set to win over 100 seats, citing strong public support across Assam.
