BJP Marks 47th Foundation Day with Statewide Celebrations in Assam

The Assam unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party celebrated its 47th Foundation Day on Monday with events held across the state, from Guwahati to booth-level offices.

State BJP president Dilip Saikia led the main programme at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, paying tribute to party ideologues like Syama Prasad Mookerjee, Deendayal Upadhyaya, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Celebrations were held across 39 district offices, 433 mandals, and over 28,000 booths, showcasing the party’s organisational strength ahead of the April 9 polls.

The occasion also saw several leaders from Congress and Trinamool Congress joining the BJP, adding momentum to its campaign in the final phase.
