Three Drown in Pagladia River in Nalbari

Three people drowned while bathing in the Pagladia River at Nijbor Shiral Katahbari in Nalbari district on Saturday. The victims were identified as Gudu Deka (35), her sister Pinki Das (24), and Rohit Gutung (27).

They reportedly slipped into a deep pit in the river. Locals rescued them after hearing a child crying nearby, but doctors at the hospital declared them dead.

Residents alleged that embankment work and sand excavation created dangerous pits in the river, demanding better safety measures from authorities.
