AT Road Beneath Jorhat Flyover Turns Into ‘Road to Hell’ Amid Poor Road Conditions

Despite major infrastructure development in Jorhat, the condition of the AT Road beneath the newly inaugurated Maniram Dewan-Piyali Barua flyover has become a major concern for commuters. Continuous rainfall and lack of proper repair work after flyover construction have left the stretch badly damaged and slippery, leading to frequent skidding incidents, especially at night.

Local residents have criticized the authorities for neglecting the road while prioritizing the flyover project ahead of the Assembly polls. They have urged the district administration to immediately repair the road and regulate roadside parking and hawkers beneath the flyover to prevent accidents and ease traffic movement.
