AIIMS Guwahati Denies Viral Mass Food Poisoning Claims

AIIMS Guwahati has denied viral social media claims of a mass food poisoning incident on its campus, stating that only one suspected food-related illness case has been reported so far.

The institute clarified that there is no evidence of over 50 students falling ill, as claimed online, and termed the reports as rumours based on unverified information. Officials said the affected student has received medical care and the situation is being closely monitored.

AIIMS Guwahati has also formed an enquiry committee and started inspections of food preparation areas while strengthening hygiene and food safety measures on campus.
