Himanta Biswa Sarma Discusses Defence Industry Expansion with Rajnath Singh

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi and discussed opportunities to expand the defence manufacturing sector in Assam.

Sarma said Singh suggested organizing a major exhibition and conference involving public and private defence industries to attract investment in the state. The Defence Minister also assured support for the initiative.

Later, Sarma met External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, who congratulated him on the NDA’s election victory and pledged continued support for Assam’s development.

The Chief Minister also announced that the expansion of the Assam Council of Ministers will take place on June 5.
