Tata Semiconductor Project Driver Killed in NH-27 Accident at Jagiroad

A man identified as Bishnu Deuri, a driver associated with the Tata Semiconductor project, was killed in a road accident on NH-27 at Shilbhanga in Jagiroad on Monday morning.

According to police, a speeding Ford EcoSport heading towards Guwahati from Nagaon struck Deuri while he was crossing the road. Following the incident, local residents protested alleged traffic management lapses at vulnerable points in the town. A senior police officer visited the site and assured that necessary measures would be taken to improve road safety.
