CID Arrests Two Secretariat Employees Over Suspension Notice Lapse in APSC Scam Case

Guwahati: The CID has arrested two State Secretariat employees, section officer Allen Kuki and computer operator Ratul Sarma, for alleged negligence in issuing a suspension notice to Suranjita Hazarika, an accused in the APSC cash-for-job scam.

According to investigators, the notice was not properly delivered and key details were missing from the gazette notification. The issue surfaced after Hazarika approached the court seeking reinstatement. The CID has registered a case and is probing whether others were involved in the matter.
