47 New Assam MLAs to Undergo Training Ahead of Assembly Session

Guwahati: The Assam Legislative Assembly will organise a two-day training camp for 47 newly elected MLAs on July 4 and 5 at Gopinath Bordoloi Bhavan. The programme will focus on Assembly rules, procedures, Points of Order, Special Mentions, and other aspects of legislative functioning.

Assembly Speaker Ranjeet Kumar Dass said the training is aimed at helping first-time legislators understand the functioning of the House. Senior MLAs are also welcome to attend the sessions.

Several eminent personalities, including Dr. Samudra Gupta Kashyap and former Deputy Speaker Dr. Numal Momin, have been invited to conduct sessions during the programme.
