Man Arrested in Guwahati for Alleged Investment Fraud

Guwahati: The Cyber Police Station under the Police Commissionerate has arrested a man, identified as Rishikesh Sharma, for allegedly cheating people of several lakhs of rupees by promising high investment returns and attractive commissions.

Police said the accused allegedly used the name of a BJP leader to gain victims’ trust. The investigation revealed that part of the money was transferred to the bank accounts of his mother and brother, while several lakh rupees remain in the accused’s account.
