Ashok Singhal Clarifies Road Naming Row in Dhekiajuli

Dhekiajuli: Assam Cabinet Minister Ashok Singhal has clarified that naming a two-kilometre road after Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee did not replace the road dedicated to 1942 martyr Ratan Kachari. He said the confusion arose due to the wording on a municipal signboard and urged people to verify the facts before drawing conclusions.

Singhal added that the government respects the sacrifices of freedom fighters and said honouring one historical figure does not diminish the legacy of another.
