Gauhati University Holds Workshop on Assam Water Resources Report

Guwahati, Assam: Gauhati University’s Centre for Brahmaputra Studies organised a consultative workshop to review the draft Assam State Water Resources Assessment (SWRA) Report, which will help shape the upcoming Assam State Water Policy.

Experts from the university and FREMAA discussed key issues, including flood and erosion management, irrigation, wetland restoration, transboundary water data sharing, and sustainable water resource planning before the report’s finalisation.
