Subsidised Dal, Sugar Distribution Resumes Across Assam

The Assam government has resumed the distribution of subsidised dal and sugar to ration card holders across the state from today, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced.

Over 70 lakh kg of dal and sugar are currently available at Fair Price Shops (FPS). Beneficiaries can collect their allocated quota from their nearest FPS.

The distribution had been temporarily suspended during the 2026 Assembly election period and the subsequent government formation.
