In a recent social media message, the civic body said census data helps authorities plan for essential sectors such as education, healthcare, housing, roads and other infrastructure. GMC emphasised that accurate information provided by citizens can contribute to better-informed planning and improved delivery of public services, and encouraged people to understand the purpose of Census 2027 and participate responsibly.
