Assam Moves Closer to Launching Its Own Satellite

The Assam government is in the final stage of selecting a private-sector partner for AssamSAT, the state’s proposed earth observation satellite. The project aims to strengthen the use of space technology for governance and development.

AssamSAT is expected to support agriculture, flood and disaster management, infrastructure planning, border surveillance and other key sectors, helping the state access faster and more accurate satellite-based data.
