Wild Elephants Damage Nine Houses in Morangi

A herd of wild elephants went on a rampage in Murphuloni Leteku Basti of Morangi on Sunday night, destroying nine houses and causing extensive damage to the Leteku Basti Primary School. The affected families narrowly escaped unharmed.

Residents said elephant disturbances have continued in several areas of Morangi Mouza and demanded effective measures from the Forest Department. They also sought immediate compensation for the affected families and prompt repair of the damaged school.
