Assam Rifles Patrol Attacked Near Indo-Myanmar Border

Several Assam Rifles personnel were injured after unidentified armed people attacked a patrol near the Indo-Myanmar border in Manipur’s Tengnoupal district early Sunday. The attackers reportedly triggered an IED, followed by gunfire, before fleeing into the dense terrain.

Additional security forces have been deployed in the area, and a large-scale search and cordon operation has been launched to trace those responsible.
