NFR Boosts Freight Operations and Revenue

Guwahati: Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has introduced several measures to improve freight services and increase revenue across its network.

Kharahat station was opened for inward PSC sleeper traffic, while New Missamari began handling inward military traffic. The railway also earned significant revenue from the loading of maize, rice, stone chips, cement and petroleum products across its divisions, supporting regional trade and logistics.
