Man Arrested With Rhino Horn in Biswanath

Biswanath: Behali Police arrested a 42-year-old man, identified as Puniram Baguwar of Kachamari village, and recovered a suspected rhino horn during an operation in Biswanath district. The action followed intelligence inputs received by the district police regarding the movement of suspected wildlife smugglers.

Police said two persons were spotted near a naka check at Mikir Gaon, after which one fled while Baguwar was apprehended. During a search, the rhino horn was allegedly recovered from his possession. Police are searching for another accused, identified as Mira Orang alias Mainul Ali, who remains absconding. The investigation is continuing.
